After serving aboard the submarine USS Baltimore from 1986 to 1990, I graduated from Ohio University with a journalism degree in 1994. I worked as a staff photographer at The Northwestern in Oshkosh, Wis., until September of 2000 when I moved on to a position as a staff photographer at The Gazette in Colorado Springs, Colorado, ending in January 2011. I am currently accepting freelance assignments.
